Dear ENROPErs and Langscapers,

The ENROPE/Langscape consortium, along with the Diltec research group and the Sorbonne Nouvelle university, are happy to announce their forthcoming Winter School, for early career researchers in the field of multi-/plurilingualism and education, which will be held at Sorbonne Nouvelle University, from the 26th of February to the 1st of March 2024, at Maison de la Recherche, 4 rue des Irlandais 75005 Paris, France.
The central theme for the ENROPE/Langscape Paris Winter School 2024 will be:
"Language education through the years: plurilingualism and social challenges"

This Winter School aims particularly at Master students as well as PhD candidates, whose research interests revolve around matters of plurilingualism and language use, language policies, language learning and teaching, language teacher professionalisation, as well as social and ethical considerations in regard to the development of curricula, materials and learning environments in plurilingual contexts. Particular attention will be devoted to the historical dimension within language use and education, as well as to ethical aspects of research concerning language education.

The ENROPE/Langscape Paris Winter School 2024 will be a unique opportunity to share your own work and to get feedback, and also to discover the work of other participants, whose research interests may complete yours and open up new possibilities. The week will comprise plenary sessions, seminars and workshops. School visits and meetings with school actors and stakeholders will also be part of the programme, which is currently in the making.

Whether you are conducting research within a university that has been a member of the ENROPE consortium, a previous ENROPEr/Langscaper, or if your research interests fit the topics of the forthcoming Paris Winter School, you are welcome to send us an application by November the 1st the 27th, 2023. If you would like to apply to this Winter School, please send a short abstract (max. 300 words) with your name, project and a short bio to info@enrope.eu. Please make sure to specify: degree, university affiliation, research interests and research and/or job experience. Although English may probably be the common language for most ENROPErs/Langscapers, you may send your application in French, German or Spanish. If you decide to do so, please make sure to supply an English version of your ongoing research theme, as well as up to five keywords in English.

The participation in the Winter School is free of charge, but you will have to arrange travel and accommodation on your own. For PhD candidates with a working contract at their home university, there may be the option to apply for Erasmus+ mobilities that will partly
cover your expenses. Please query your Erasmus/International office about this option as early as possible and keep us informed as well so that we can try to support the process.

The ENROPE/Langscape consortium is very much looking forward to spending this Winter School with you and getting to know and discuss your work. Accepted applications will be announced by mid-November mid-December 2023.
